Where are we?

We are situated in Anagaire, which is 6 miles from Dungloe, 8 miles from Gaoth Dobhair, 40 miles from Letterkenny and 43 miles from Donegal town.
The Donegal Gaeltacht region is the largest of the seven Gaeltacht regions in Ireland.

Coláiste na Rosann is centrally situated in the middle of this famous Gaeltacht region, which is arguably the richest and purest of them all. This is indeed a very beautiful and scenic rural area with many mountain views and Atlantic seascapes to enjoy all around. Each year many eager students look forward to spending time in this locality. Students come to hear our native tongue being spoken in its true environment. Visitors come to learn an Ghaeilge while enjoying the locality, the people and the relaxing atmosphere.

Coláiste na Rosann currently operates from a purpose built and well maintained school premises situated in the heart of Annagaire (Annagry) village in Na Rossa (the Rosses) area of West Donegal. It is right in the heart of the largest Gaeltacht region and is a most popular destination for language enthusiasts both from Ireland and abroad. This uniquely rich and diverse area has produced many world-class scholars of the arts, music and literature. Travel Information

Travel to Coláiste is by Special Coaches or students have an option to fly to Donegal Airport from Dublin with Aer Arann. Donegal International Airport is two miles from the village. There is a daily flight service from Dublin to Donegal with Aer Arann, flight duration is 35 minutes. It is the parents responsibility to book flights etc, however, we collect students from the airport if requested in advance.

We welcome students who wish to travel by car.

Coláiste na Rosann provides supervised return travel by coach from all major centres of population. Details of the nearest pick-up point will be forwarded 10 days prior to course commencement. The return fare is €80 payable on the coach to include luggage and transfers. This service applies only to students living outside County Donegal. The coach company that we use is very reliable and provides good drivers and high quality coaches, which help to make the journey a pleasurable experience. We will take in quite an amount of scenery as we make our way to the northwest.
