 Transition Year Programme
We offer short three day courses during the school year to Transition Year Groups. We have listed a sample programme below. Should you have a group interested in visiting the Gaeltacht for a short stay then please make contact with us to discuss your requirments.
Sample 3-day Course

Safety briefing and general information session on arrival followed by ‘Caibidil Cainte’ – (díospóireacht nuachtchainte a plé).
Debate ‘as gaeilge’ on a news topic of the day.
Students are presented with details of the topic/theme for debate and given a some time to prepare |

Afternoon Activity – Carrickfinn Blue Flag Beach 5km Sand Dune and Coastal Hike fun fitness challenge. Leisure wear and footwear. |

Obair Ghrúpa: ‘Beochan Cré’ – (i.e ‘Wallice and Grommit’ type animation film making). Groups are introduced to the concept and taught basic technical ‘know how’. Each group will produce storyboard, film-set, camera, lighting, production and produce a 60 second cartoon ‘as gaeilge’.
