To avail of a place, complete and return the registration form together with booking deposit of just €150. Balance of fees are payable one month prior to course commencement. An Gaeilge

Did you know that a whopping 40% of overall Junior & Leaving Certificate marks are allocated to your Oral Interview. And a further 10% are allocated to Aural exam. Exam success starts at Coláiste na Rosann where we have a specially designed programme of study ensuring maximum marks are gained at exam time.

 
Here at Coláiste na Rosann we make language learning simple and enjoyable. You will be totally immersed in the language for the duration of the course. The best way to learn a language is to 'live it'. All around you Irish becomes a living spoken language. You will hear and speak simple everyday conversational Irish and quickly build confidence and greatly improve fluency and performance at exam-time. We achieve high standards of learning without stress or pressure.

You will meet lots of new friends and have lots of new experiences. Here at Coláiste na Rosann we place emphasis on safety, well-being and happiness of the individual. We have over 21 years professional experience of conducting Irish Language and Cultural Programmes for Teenagers and have an excellent record and reputation for safety and success. Irish is the only language of instruction used at Coláiste na Rosann. Formal classwork each morning is followed by afternoon music and dance sessions, sports and a wide range of activities. We also offer optional extra trips and tours to places of interest and a watersports package.

We teach songs and musical instruments, we teach céilí dancing, you will learn drama or perhaps play your favourite sport. Sometimes you might just sit on a rock chatting and making good friends. Perhaps we will stand on top of a mountain or laze on a beach for the afternoon.

As evening falls we get ready for the Céilí, Disco, Dramas, Barbecue, Seó Talún, Ceolchoirm, Theme Nights, Comórtas na dTithe, Tráth na gceist, Is deagóir mé....lots to do and enjoy.

Coláiste na Rosann is a member of CONCOS, the national body for Irish Colleges and is recognised by the Department of Education and Science. All guest housed affiliated to Coláiste na Rosann are vetted and approved by An Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltactha. All staff members are subject to Garda vetting. All aspects of the course are well supervised. Coláiste na Rosann only seek and retain the best Irish teachers available. Under headmaster Seosamh Ó Duibheannaigh all class teachers, who are sanctioned by the Department of Education and Science, are selected for the understanding of pupils needs and their ability to communicate effectively with young people. Their pupils' happiness and well-being is their prime responsibility. Coláiste na Rosann employ an experienced local nurse to provide free general care for students.

All students live with host families close to the college. Where possible we do our best to accommodate friends together. The Bean an Tí provides for all needs during your stay. Our Bean an Ti's are professional in their approach to providing good care and attention to each individual. The college staff visit the homes regularly to ensure all is well.
