Class Time: 10 o'chlog go 1 o'chlog: Ag foghlaim Gaeilge sa Rang
Here at Coláiste na Rosann our aim is to improve your ability to speak and understand Irish. For Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate 2012 there has been a huge increase in the way marks are awarded. 40% of all marks are alloted to the Oral exam and a further 10% for Aural. This means that 50% of all marks may be awarded to those who can demonstrate an ability to speak and understand Gaeilge. By attending the Coláiste na Rosann Gaeltacht and studying on our unique total immersion programme students will greatly enhance their aural and oral skills and be at a huge advantage at exam-time. You will learn Irish in a friendly and easy way. You will be in a class best suited to your level and needs. You will make quick progress and become confident and develop a love for language learning.
Activities: 3 o'chlog go 5 o'chlog 'Um Thráthnónaigh
There is an activity organised every afternoon for everybody to enjoy. We participate in Irish traditional set dancing and Céilí dancing, we learn musical instruments and songs, we study drama, enjoy quiz, sports, trips, tours, mountain climbing, beach and events of all sorts.

Evening Events: 19.30 – 21.30
Céilí, Disco, Quiz, Short Film Night, Dramas, BBQ, Fancy Dress and Theme Nights, Anagaire Got Talent, Hawaii Night, Oíche na PJ’s, Comórtas na gContaetha, agus a lán rudaí eile….

Meals: All students return to their guesthouses for meals at these times:
9.15: Breakfast, 13.15: Lunch, 18.00: Dinner, 22.15: Supper




Trips
Please note that some tours are optional and an additional fee may apply. Students will be advised on any additional costs well in advance fo such trips.
Optional Extra watersports package:- You may wish to sign up for extra lessons at surf school, kayaking or snorkelling from as little as €12 per session.


Teachers
All aspects of the course are well supervised and Coláiste na Rosann only retains the best Irish Teachers available. All class teachers, who are sanctioned by the Department of Education and Science, are selected for their understanding of pupils needs, and their ability to communicate effectively with young people. |
