Coláiste na Rosann  

Coláiste na Rosann is registered and approved as a Summer College with the Dept. of Education and Science and CONCOS (Comhdháil na gColáistí Samhraidh). All guesthouses are approved by Roinn na Gaeltachta. In 2012 we celebrate 22 successful years in conducting quality Irish Language and Activity courses under the stewardship of our Director An t-Uasal Seosamh Ó Duibheannaigh, B.A. H.Dip in Ed.  



 

Cúrsaí Gaeilge/Irish Language Courses

We provide a range of courses to include a 5-day Transition and Leaving Certicate Oral Irish Preparation Courses during March and April, 5-day Primary Courses each May, 3-week Summer courses during June and July.  If you have a group who would like to visit the Gaeltacht we can design a bespoke course to meet your needs. Please feel free to contact us with your request.



Learning Made Easy

We aim to teach Gaeilge and to promote the use of the Irish language and culture of the Donegal Gaeltacht in a friendly and relaxed way.  We offer total immersion as we feel the best way to learn a language is to 'live it'.  Continued and repetitive use of everyday of simple spoken Irish will allow students make impressive progress during each stay at Coláiste na Rosann.





Donegal and Irish

The Donegal Gaeltacht region is the largest of the seven Gaeltacht regions in Ireland. Coláiste na Rosann is centrally situated in the middle of this famous Gaeltacht region, which is arguably the richest and purest of them all. This is indeed a very beautiful and scenic rural area with many mountain views and Atlantic seascapes to enjoy all around.

To truly understand the essence of Irish culture a visit to the Irish speaking Gaeltacht of West Donegal is vital. Surrounded by mountains and sea, the village of Anagaire, in the heart of the Rosses, constitutes part of the largest and arguably the purest Gaeltacht region in the country. Gaeilge - our native tongue and one of the oldest surviving European languages is the predominant language of the people of the area.
